ID -OGO Agadaga Sons and Daughters to hold Carnival during Easter
Ido-Ogo Sons and Daughters from all walks of life including those in the diaspora will converge at home during this Easter season for a ground breaking carnival, the first ever in this century.
The Carnival according to one of the organisers of the event, Mr. Henry Osaze Omoalukhe, will hold on Monday, April 1, 2024town in Idi-Ogo area of Agadaga, Ewohimi in Esan South East LGA of Edo state.
Mr. Omoalukhe told New Sentinel News Media last night that preparations are in top gear to ensure the successful hosting of the mother of all carnivals in the history of Ewohimi. He disclosed that various committees have been set up to achieve this.
In a separate interview, the Chairman, Organising Committee of the carnival, Mr. Clement Enosimeye Ailuorio, Alias Nomen told New Sentinel that indeed all hands are on deck to ensure that the carnival is successful.
Meanwhile, Ido-Ogo in Agadaga, Ewohimi has suddenly turned small London overnight as Solar lights have been installed in all the nooks and crannies of the village.
The solar lights according to New Sentinel investigations, were procured and installed by the combined and collective efforts of Idi-Ogo Sons and Daughters both at home, in Nigeria and diaspora.
Already, several Sons and Daughters of the town have been arriving home in droves to witness the biggest carnival put together by the youths of the area.
As at the time of filing in this report, New Sentinel learnt that congratulatory messages and massive support have greeted the initiative of the youths even as the chairman of Agadaga khifun community, Deacon Samuel Irabor enjoined the organisers to be steadfast in bringing Idi-Ogo to limelight so that the village can take its place of pride in the scheme of things in Ewohimi and indeed the state and the country as a whole.
According to him, Idi-Ogo has all it takes to lead and be at the forefront in everything good as God has destined the area to be.
