Bola Tinubu is sworn in as Nigeria’s 16th president amid pomp and ceremony

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has just been sworn in as the 16th president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria amid pomp and ceremony at the Eagle Square.
Tinubu to the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance at 10.37 am and rounded off the process of appending his signature to seal the oath at 10.42 am.
As the rituals were going on, former President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, stood behind President Tinubu and his wife, Oluremi.
Earlier, Kashim Shettima had taken his Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance as vice-president from 10.32am to 10.36 am.
The process of handing over is ongoing.
